Coach Bert Ayala (Head Football Coach of the Millville Thunderbolts) was recently named as South Jersey Coach of the Year by the National Football Foundation South Jersey Chapter. Ayala coached the Thunderbolts to the first ever overall Group 4 State Championship in 2022. He was honored on April 23, 2023 by the Foundation at the Carriage House in Galloway Township. Also honored was Millville Thunderbolt Keyan German who was named as the Millville Football Scholar Athlete by the Foundation, along with other scholar athletes from South Jersey schools.
